GO Furniture was established following the completion of the Furniture Go International (FGOI) project.
Furniture Go International (FGOI) was a project with solid basis and ambitious goals, starting mid september 2021 and lasting 3 years. It was driven by eight clusters from six European countries.

GO Furniture aims to drive innovation, sustainability, and international expansion while supporting European SMEs in the furniture industry.
Vision and Mission
The vision is to establish a strong meta-cluster that expands collaboration beyond traditional boundaries.
The mission is to unite and empower the furniture industry across Europe to drive innovation, growth, and sustainability through enhanced collaboration and market expansion efforts, working together for internationalization abroad, for the benefit of represented members, especially European SMEs.
Objectives of the “GO Furniture” META-CLUSTER
GO Furniture’s main goal is to be recognised as the leading platform for supporting the internationalization of European furniture SMEs.
Specific objectives include:
- To develop cross-sectoral partnerships with focus on areas like design, technology, and market expansion.
- To incorporate digitization, green practices and circular economy principles for innovation and sustainable growth.
- To attract new young professionals and contribute to upskilling the current professionals.

Transylvanian Furniture Cluster
Transylvanian Furniture Cluster was established in 2012 at the initiative of several legal entities, through their association, to support the furniture industry in its quest for competitiveness, both on the national and international market. Besides the validation from more than 80 current members (mostly SMEs), the management team of the cluster is Gold Label certified by ESCA – European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis. Transylvanian Furniture Cluster is a founding member of the Northern Transylvania Clusters Consortium, is part of the Clusters Association in Romania – CLUSTERO and is active in multiple national and international networks and platforms, such as ECCP – European Cluster Collaboration Platform and FWCP – The Furniture and Woodworking Cluster partnership.

Wood Industry Cluster Slovenia
The Wood Industry Cluster, Slovenia (WIC) is a non-profit private association that was founded in 1999 by woodworking companies, along with state institutions. Today the WIC is comprised of 90 companies and institutions including Slovenian wood processors and producers of furniture (about one third of the Slovenian wood sector). The staff of the WIC office has more than 30 years of experience, especially in the field of clustering, networking, development, project coordination and management, participation in EU projects, transfer of knowledge, as well as in training and internationalisation.
